When I first started using Windows Vista, I could hover the cursor over the
icon for switching between windows, and my windows would automatically show
in the 3D mode. Now when I put my curson on that icon, the words "switch
between windows" show and I have to click on the icon to have the windows
show in 3D mode. Did I do something to change things? If so, how can I
change it back so that I can just hover on the icon to show all the windows?

It is never expected behavior for the mouse to select on hover. If your
mouse driver was doing that, it needed upgrading, and that is probably what
happened to change it.

I don't think it was that. I just enabled ClickLock, and it didn't produce
the same thing I originally got...that by just hovering my cursor over the
icon the open screens would show in 3D mode. But thanks for the suggestion...
