Flight Sim Games Freezing

I have a problem while plying flight sim games.
I can play for any amount of time however if I bring up a
panel and try to use the mouse it freezes the game. The
only way out is to switch PC off as Ctrl Alt Del wont
work. I have no problems with other types of games such
as Ghost recon and Jedi Knight. It is only in games that
use the mouse and joystick. i have all the latest drivers
for my system, have changed the mouse to a Microsoft one
using their rivers problem persists.
System
AMD ATHLON 2.4
512 MB RAM
Windows XP Home
64MB nvdia Gforce4 MX440

This problem is driving me mad. If anyone can help you
would be GOD.

Which flight sims games, Cliff? If it is a Microsoft product, go to the
Knowledge Base support section
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=FH;EN-US;KBHOWTO), select
Games under Select a Microsoft Product, then search for the appropriate
program. If you can't find a solution, please post back with the name of
the game and further details.
