Hi,

I've been installing a program called ADS 1.5 on my Windows
2000 pro system, and it seems to work fine.

I tried to install it onto a Windows XP system, and for some
reason, the FlexLM licensing file doesn't seem to work. This FlexLM
is a control panel extension program (*.cpl) that you can paste in the
"system32" folder of windows 2000, and it will show up when you open
the control panel.

However, it doesn't appear or seem to open in Windows XP
for some reason.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

First off, I do not have a full understanding of the inner-
workings of the Control Panel. However, I believe you
have to do a little more work than that.

At the very least, I believe you have to install the .CPL
file in a bit more elegant of a fashion. You might try
the Microsoft TweakUI tool
(http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/
WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe) which has a listing of
enabled Control Panels. You need to locate your control
panel and make sure it is checked before it will appear.

I am not sure if that is all you need, but it is a start.

Good luck!
