I have an MS Intellimouse Optical that has worked perfectly for some years.
Recently I find that if I pass it near or over desktop icons while
attempting to click on others, the unwanted icons are activated, either
spontaneously, or when I click to activate an icon shortcut. No, I don't
feed the mouse beans. Any ideas?

Light refracts. Go back to the mouseball.

Time to put it in a retirement home.

Maybe it's time for a new mouse, as for the flatulence, Bob, it's your mates
and they're blaming it on your mouse for it. Now I've heard it all. If it's
not the door, the dog, the chair, one's Grandfather the passing truck, the
flying past duck! It's the mouse, tell you what Bob that's so original I'd
probably believe it too if may mates were going off as usual and they
claimed they heard it come from my mouse. I'm prepared for all excuses and
contingencies now.
