Hi all,

This is quite embarrasing actually as I asked the exact same question a few
months ago and have completly forgotten the reply/help someone gave me that
fixed the problem. Even a google search didn't find my original post!

Anyway, I have been fiddling with screen resolutions today and now my
outlook looks "Flat" by that, I mean the icons for the folders have no
shading to them they a simply boxes with a "flat" yellow in them, rather
than the nice "shaded" and rounded ones that used to be there. The same
applies to other buttons and icons in other parts of outlook.

I originally posted the message here as it looked like explorer icons and
everything else was fine, and so I assumed it was an outlook thing. Anyway,
I recall that someone kindly suggested I look at a setting somewhere
(Graphics, video, err) and sure enough that fixed things.

Sorry, can anyone help?

Thanks

Stuart

Have you tried running Detect and Repair and selecting to restore your
shortcuts?

Thanks for your help,

Just to clarify, All shotcuts etc are there everything works just fine, this
is purely a visual thing that happened after I fiddled with my screen
resolution. I am now running in 32bit true color; 1600x1200 and "normal"
size icons (not large)

I seem to remember it wasn't actually to do with outlook but my video
settings, but I just cant remember Argh!

Thanks

Stuart

Is it in all office apps or just outlook? other programs or just
outlook/office? I forget which other programs use a similar method for
shortcuts, so not all would be affected.

AFAIK, all the things that would affect it are the Display applet in control
panel - settings and appearance tabs. If you can't figure it out, go to
device manager and delete the monitor and video card and reboot - windows
will re-install them with the defaults and if it was a windows setting, it
should be fixed.
