I thought I posted this a week or so ago, but I can't find
it.

Anyone know if there are newer compenentized versions of
flashplayer and shockwave for XPe?

I suppose you couls just install them and then reseal, but
I am guessing it would violate their EULAs.

TIA - Steve

Steve,

XPe/SP1:
Shockwave Flash - Hotfix Q824704 [Version 5.1.2600.1106.1, R1900], [Visibility=1000]

XPe/SP2:
Shockwave Flash [Version 5.1.2600.2171, R2117], [Visibility=1000]

As you may see - the newer version snhould be available in SP2. However, I can't find new binries in the SP2 Repository.
There seems to be a bug in SP2 TP. The Shockwave Flash uses flash.ocx file that is not in the Repository. I guess it should be
swflash.ocx.

Hi
In SP2 Tech Preview the shockwave flash player (Macromedia Flash Player)
Available is "6,0,79,0". I confirmed it in the swflash.inf file available in
the SP2 repository
{67C85615-B0C5-42EA-8B8A-E8AB47DB2B1D}
DefaultName = "Macromedia Shockwave Flash"
ComponentID = "Flash"
VersionNumber = "6,0,79,0"
LocaleID = "EN"

Can anyone from MICROSOFT can say what version of flash player will be
available in the SP2?
and
will there be any support to the Shockwave player 10 in the SP2 since the
Component Name Shockwave Flash Player is Misleading that it only contains
FLASH PLAYER.
Thanks

Hi

The SP2 Tech Preview has a Component Shockwave Flash Player (the Name
is same as SP1) is nothing but Macromedia Flash Player 6
I confirmed this by Studing the swflash.inf File from the Windows XP
SP2 repository
{67C85615-B0C5-42EA-8B8A-E8AB47DB2B1D}
GUIDFACT = "{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}"
DefaultName = "Macromedia Shockwave Flash"
ComponentID = "Flash"
VersionNumber = "6,0,79,0"
LocaleID = "EN"

Also the GUID is same when i componentised Macromedia flash Player.

Can any one from Microsoft say what version of Flash Player is
available in SP2 full release and will there be any support to the
MACROMEDIA SHOCKWAVE PLAYER since the component name Shockwave flash
player is Misleading?.

Thanks
Srivathsan
