I bought a bare-bones P4 3GB ECS mainboard, which their
site is vague about updating BIOS and Tech Support is non-
existant. I have DL the BIOS update and AWD 8.3 Flash.
Could I get a link to the instructions on updating BIOS?

Jason;
Different manufacturers do it differently.
Their site is the best source since their Tech Support is non
existent.
Flashing then BIOS has nothing to do with Windows XP, in fact you can
flash without an OS installed.

Hello
Flashing the BIOS is very risky business, if everything is running alright I
would recommend not flashing it.
Flashing is only recommended if you are having troubles.

To flash the BIOS you must boot with a floppy that gets you to real-mode DOS
and has no memory management software.

www.bootdisk.com should have what you need to make the floppy.

You then boot the computer using the floppy, run the flash program and tell
it what the full name is of the, usually, binary file used to flash the
BIOS.
