I have installed Shyam's toolbox successfully on two computers, but on those
same computers I am having trouble installing FlashBack. PowerPoint is acting
like it does when the security is set to high, but obviously it isn't. Help.

Dennis

Which version of PowerPoint is it? Seems odd that you can install one add-in
and cannot install another. What was the macro security setting?

Wow, didn't expect a response until tomorrow. I'll have to check for sure
when I'm in the office tomorrow, but I believe it is PPTXP (but could be
2003). The security should have been set to medium. The fact that your
ToolBox installed and the other didn't has me stumped as well. I was watching
while one person tried to get the add-in to show up, by selecting the ppa
file, but it just wouldn't do it. I am going to check out both installation
attempts tomorrow. Just trying to get some clue as to what to look for.

Thanks for responding.

Dennis,

Try restarting the computer after the installation completes.

I've run into a couple of situations where nothing we do will get an addin to
install on a customer's computer, then as soon as they restart it, boom. There
it is.

Tried restarting and that didn't help.

(WinXP and PPTXP) did find out that even though FlashBack did not show up in
the Add-Ins menu, it was in fact installed and worked.

Not all addins appear in the addins menu; I'd guess if you see Flashback on your
Tools menu and it works, you're good to go.
