flash drive issues

I can create a small test file .doc and save it just fine to my flash drive
but when attempting to copy a larger file from our business networked drive
it gets partially copied then says the file can't be found, also the flash
drive disappears from the drive listings, and has to be uplugged and plugged
back in to see it again, then the doc shows up, unfortunetly it's all garbled.
any ideas??

You misunderstand, they are necessary for a Disaster exercise this weekend.
and it's work related, also never mind, as I found out the flash drives were
defective.
I got a personal one, and it works just fine.
