I wish to fix a location for Hibernation Page File on a dedicated drive
(which is also set for
Virtual Memory). Would someone please teach me how to do it?

Brief description of my system:
1) OS = XP
2) 512 mb ram
3) Virtual Memory on a FAT16 partition of 1536mb
4) Paging file size = 768mb (XP suggested allocation)

Many Thanks

Cazz

Hi,

You cannot change the location of the hibernate file (hiberfil.sys), it must
reside on the system volume.

You cannot move hiberfil.sys from the drive that is booted initially:
it has to be instantly available at boot for its content to be restored
to RAM
