first time with windows xp

Some of my updates will not download onto my computer. I'm tired of getting
failed messages. I also need to know if I have a conflict on my computer
using yahoo dsl as my browser? Thank you,
 
If memory serves me correctly you must use Internet Explorer to get updates
from the WindowsUpdate web site.

Microsoft provides free technical support for problems with Windows
Update.

Go to the Windows Update web site and click on the "Get help and
support" link in the left side column. There are a number of support
options available.
