First space of email hyperlink is truncated

We are generating a SharePoint email that provides links to documentation.
If the file name has a space (%20), the first space is truncated. This is a
known Outlook issue:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA011272421033.aspx.

My question, is there a way to resolve this either through SharePoint or
Outlook? Thank you.

I meant the first space is removed. For example:
"www.microsoft.com/test%20one.doc" is inserted as
"www.microsoft.com/testone.doc" where the space (%20) is removed.
