first build - win XP, RAID 1, "disk configuration" error

Hi everyone,
Here's the system I just built, first one:

AMD 64 3500+
NForce4 Ultra mobo (Foxconn NF4U8AA)
2 Seagate 7200.7 barracudas (OEM) in RAID 1
1 Gig memory
floppy
NEC 3520A DVD-RW
WIN XP Professional w/ service pack 2, OEM

I put it all together. I set-up the BIOS to configure the HDDs to
mirror. I boot from the Win XP CD next and it runs a while, formats the
HDDs, asks for the NVidia Raid disk, which I provide...everything seems
to be going well.

Then, after the formatting, it comes back with:

"Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware
configuration problem.
Could not read from selected boot disk. Check boot path & disk
hardware..." and check the documentation.

Has anyone seen this? Any help would be greatly appreciate. This new
build thing has been hairier than I thought. //Dan

I have seen this but it was the fact that user didn't have a bootable disk
listed in the boot sequence.

I would check the boot order in the bios to be sure your raid array is
listed. I'm not sure but the drivers for the raid controller may have to
have been installed during your windows installation by pressing F6 then
loading them. Also with a raid one, you probably can just install xp on one
of the disks, then install the raid drivers, then create the mirror
