Hi, I need to add a firewire connection to my computer, but have no
available PCI slots. Is there an alternative way to go about this? Thanks

Get a Soundblaster sound card. Many of them have Firewire ports built
into them.

Yes. Install a motherboard with free slots to add a firewire card.
