My computer doesn't recognize my external Firewire HD after I just installed
the latest spate of Hotfixes from Microsoft. It would take a while to
troubleshoot (have to uninstall the hotfixes, then install them one by one
to find the culprit, rebooting each time - a lot of trouble!!!). Has anyone
run into this problem? Any quick solutions.
(Using WinXP Pro.)

Thanks.

Thanks, but I get a "The download you requested is unavailable" at this

If this issue is upon installing SP2 update, then you may like to
visit the
below MS site to download and install additional update to fix the
firewire

Likely you should have copied the link instead of just clicking on it
because it may be so long it is splitting up..

"9849-e668a50e6e81&DisplayLang=en" may be the part of the link you are
missing.

Try this:

You will either have to validate or choose not to.
