I am running XP Home and connect to the internet via DSL.

I have Norton Internet Security software firewall. Should
I also have XP firewall enabled? I used to get many
attack reports from Norton saying that an attack had been
stopped.

I then enabled XP firewall and then the reports stoppped.
Presumably the attacks were stopped before they reached
Norton.

Is this a good setup or could XP firewall prevent Norton
working properly (as I believe that Norton monitors
outgoing aswell as incoming data).

Any comments appreciated.

Thanks.

No nortons is the better of the 2 to run. Don't worry
about turning on the windows firewall. And yes the 2
firewalls could interefere with each other. Go to
symantec and perform their security scan and that will
give you some advice as well as to how safe your ports and
computer is to attackers.
