firewall?

On win xp pro, would I be better off using Zone alarm or
Sygate personal firewall 5.5? Which is the best for a
newbie, and easiest to set up? Thanks
 
I've got Sygate and its worked fine for me - always
prompts about new apps acessing the net and has blocked a
number attacks on my ports. My version is the freeware
version - so if you're paying out for it - go for Sygate
(i think they've won some awards recently)

I like zone alarm.Easy for me to use.

The firewall that comes with Windows XP is a very basic
firewall that only monitors incoming traffic; it does
nothing with regard to monitoring what is leaving the
computer.
