I set up a computer with 2 NICs. It shows as 2 LANs. As
soon as I set one up to be the Internet Gateway, my other
computers can no longer communicate.

The purpose of the 2 NICs was to set up a firewall on
that computer.

The firewall has XP-Pro, the others are running XP-Home.

What am I doing wrong?

Well, sounds like your firewall is preventing
communication on the other NIC card where your other
computers are connected to. YOu need to analyize your
firewall setup. What firewall program are you using?
Also, have you thought about a router? THe computer that
is being setup as the firewall, does it allow you to surf
the web on that computer? Also when you say, its not
communicating to the other computers, are you refering to
filesharing or just having internet access on the other
computers?

Greetings --

The built-in firewall is not designed to be used on internal LAN
connections. The only connection on which you should have ICF enabled
is the connection to the Internet.
