firewall probs with SP 2

Cannot permanently disable win firewall; keeps stopping my
network connections wizard from connecting 1 ethernet
computer. MS tech support showed me how to disable, but MS
firewall keeps coming back on. Ready to uninstall SP 2 if
it can't be fixed. :(
 
run > services.msc > disable windows firewall. while you're at it, you can
disable the security center (if you know what you're doing).
 
Did as you said, when I reboot, win firewall is back.:(
