Hi,

New PC running XP. trying to enable firewall for internet connection. I get as far as the step where I am to click "change the settings" or "poperties" and nothing comes up. Any ideas? Thanks.

See if this helps:

"Or, within the Network Connections folder, right-click on the
connection that you want to protect and then click Properties as shown
in Figure 6 below"

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/using/howto/networking/icf.asp

Also check in Start > Run > services.msc
that you have the ICF service on automatic.

Good luck

Go to www.zonelabs.com and get ZoneAlarm. Forget about using the lame excuse
for a firewall that comes with XP.
