I accidentally hit the button which says "select Firefox as default
browser." How do I undo this? I cannot find it. Thanks
 
Setting Internet Explorer as the default browser

Try this:
Open IE | Tools | Internet Options | Programs tab | make sure
"Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" is
CHECKED.
Press Ok, and when you next run IE, a confirmation
dialog box should appear asking you whether you want it to be the
default browser again. Click Yes.

To reset Internet Explorer settings
If you installed another Web browser after installing Internet
Explorer and Internet Tools, some of your Internet Explorer settings
may have changed. You can reset your Internet Explorer settings to
their original defaults, including your home page and search pages,
and choice of default browser, without changing your other browser's
settings.
1.. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2.. Click the Programs tab.
3.. Click the Reset Web Settings button.

Hello , XP ? Navigate : Start/Set Program Access and Defaults/tic "Custom"
{may need to click on the "down arrow" to your right}/Look at "Choose a
default Web browser" .
 
Open IE and go to:

Tools, Internet Options
Click on Programs Tab
At the bottom there is a check box to make/force IE to check it is the
default browser.

Run your browsers manually. Who cares what the default one is. I have 4
on, and often have each one open/running for specific things/sites.

The reason you would care is if you click on a link in an email message it
will open in the 'default browser'.

If you want IE to be your default browser go to Control Panel>Internet
Options>Programs and check the box at the bottom "Internet Explorer should
check to see if it is the default browser". Then start IE and it will ask if
you want to make it the default browser.
