Hi everybody.
Recently I pressed the "Update" button to early (before the browser was
fully loaded), then Firefox crashed, and f**ked up the layout.
I can't see any webpages, I can't use the menubar, I can't use the
toolbar, address bar, google search thing, the only thing that works is
the window title which shows the title of my start page, Gmail.
Everything works in Safe Mode.
I tried reinstalling, but since uninstall doesn't delete the layout
settings, I'm stuck with Safe Mode now.
If I enter an web address in the Windows Start Bar > Run, or in the
address bar on the process line (is it called that in English? It's the
gray or blue bar in the (by default) bottom of the screen, the thing
with the Start-button), it'll try to load Firefox in Normal Mode, which
sucks.
Where are the layout files / values saved?
How do I reset them?

Best regards,
Mathew
who live in Denmark, so my English isn't pretty good.

Where are the layout files / values saved?

In your profile folder, in Windows XP by default is something like:
C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxx.default
It is a hidden folder, so you have to make it visible in Explorer
(Tools - Folder options - View...)
How do I reset them?

Try this: close Firefox and in your profile folder delete the file XUL.mfl.
Also look for the file parent.lock: if it's present, delete it too.

Hope this helps, and my English isn't pretty good either :-)
