I downloaded an application from the Web and now I want to copy that program
to another computer but have lost the key no.

Is there some way to find the key no. that must be in the regristry and copy
it to the other computer? Thanks.

Key number?? Did you not download a program? Did it have a name? Where did you
load it into?

You can download Belarc advisor from:
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

Or Aida32:
Unlimited Possibilities' AIDA32
http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32

Belarc advisor will create an html document with info about your
system, including key numbers.

Good luck

I tried Belare but it didn't show the program anywhere, so just to be sure,
I went to add-remove programs, and sure enough the program is listed. Why
didn't Belare show the program?

Jimmy,

Try with the other one, with Aida 32. They generally list the key
number of the programs *they* consider important, like Office and XP.

Good luck

Go to majicaljellybean.com, and download their key finder. It works for
windows and Office.

Hi Mike,

This isn't a Windows or Office program. It's called ShortSolve and I can't
even find it on the Web anymore. Do you think majicaljellybean can find the
key for it or is there a way to search in the registry and find it?
