Finding a word in CSV files

I have a large number of CSV files containing production records and want to
find those containing a specific Lot No

Using Windows to seach for "A word or phrase in the file" does not appear to
work on CSV files - any suggestions

Other than what you are doing, you can open CSV files in Excel or even
Notepad and then search for production records.

A complete search for all the files would require some third party tool, if
any.

Use Agent Ransack (GUI freeware from the authors site)

Or FIND at the command prompt.
