fIND AND REPLACE??

for some reason when i do a find it recognizesd the wild card characters * or
? or #. When i do a replace it doesnt. It simply replaces with a * or ? or #
or ~ or @ no matter how i use them it seems. help me

Ummmm... I'm perplexed here. * means "match any string of characters".
When you say you want to replace a field with *, what string of
characters do you have in mind!?

Please explain what you're trying to ACCOMPLISH. There's surely a way
to do it, but it probably will NOT use the method you're trying.
