Hi

I have searched but I can't find a solution.

My question is

I have a table with 99 children and I enter cheques paid on a daily
basis as and when I receive them. I do not put a date I just have one
column with names and another with the amount usually the same amount,
i.e. £7 (occasionally a different amount)

So on day one I may received 10 cheques, day two 15 cheques etc. I
lodge each of these cheques against the name of the person who has
paid.

What I want to be able to do is create a linked table/s or extraction
so that I can pull of the names of the children whose cheques that I
enter on the day that I have entered them on the sheet to produce a
list of the cheques being paid into the bank on that day. (I don't
need to be able to access the information retrospectively)

Can I do this? And if so how?

Also is there a quick way to enter today's date into a spreadsheet
such as alt ctr D in word?

Thank you

Enter the date into a third column: use Ctrl + ; to enter the current day's date.

(For the curent time use you would use Ctrl + Shift + ; For the current date and time, use Ctrl +
; Space Ctrl + Shift + ; )

Then you can filter your list using Data Filter, and select the current date to show the list of
checks being deposited.
