filtering

I have a chart linked to filtered data. when I change
the filter, the chart updates to what is shown on the
screen. I would like to have a formula that is linked to
just the data that is on the screen that updates just
like the chart. Thanks
 
Use the SUBTOTAL worksheet formula. This only sees the
visible data. It has options for sum, average, sd, count
etc.
