Filtering problem

When filtering on a column the last row of my spreadsheet keeps appearing although that data does'nt meet the filtering criteria. Why does the last row of the data keep appearing when I filter a column even though it doesn't relate to what I'm filtering?

may be bcoz at the time of selecting the data for filter
you missed that row and it is outside the filter cretiria

that y it will appear everytime

If you have a Subtotal formula in the last row, it will be excluded from
the filter, and will appear regardless of the criteria selected.

Nope didn't miss the row on the filter. I've selected the data to be filter yet the last row of the data keeps appearing no matter what I filter on. The unique thing is that although the last row appears it isn't highlighted blue on the row number indicating filtered data like the other rows which meet my criteria. Some odd reason the data on the last row of my spreadsheet shows up although it doesn't match my filter. I've even deleted that row and then the next last row appears, an so on... WEIRD!

That was it! Thanks a million! There was subtotal formula on that row of data and once deleted filters correctly now

You're welcome! Thanks for letting me know that it worked.

As a workaround, if you need to keep the subtotal formula, you could add
a TOTAL row at the end of the table, and the filter would ignore it.
