Intuit's Quickbooks Enterprises has a wonderful filtering feature that I
believe is windows based and so am wondering if it can be adapted to Access.
Items are organized as items & subitems. Example, apples, bananas would be
subitems to Fruits. Apples and applesauce could be subitems to Snacks.
When you start typing in the item drop down box the entire list is
consistantly being filtered across items/subitems. This means if you type
apple, your drop down list will show:
Fruit:apples
Snack:apples
Snack:applesauce
What is especially nice is that although you can type the word Fruit and
search that way, you can just type the subitem and all matching items will be
located too.
Can this be done in Access?
Thanks so much.
