Hi,
I'm looking to buy a small film/slide scanner
like the Pacific Image Prime-Film 1800U but would
like it to be powered by the USB port.
If possible, it should work with a USB2 port.

Does anybody know whether such a thing exists?

Powered by the USB would allow me to take it along
during trips to whatever countries without worrying
about 110V or 220V.

Thanks for any recommendation.

Sincerely,
Steve JORDI

You can find flatbed scanners(Canon Lide series) that are powered by USB,
but I do not think you will find a USB powered only Film scanner.

Mmhhh. That's too bad and what I thought.
But I wanted to make sure first.

Thanks
