Thanks for your help I am loooking into it now. This is the first time I have been on this site so I am thanking you for your help now. As you say I am opening the document from a template and I have created approx. 20 fields within it. However quite a lot of detail has to be put into each field usually under a cut and paste. The main for the form is to keep consistancey

document but rather on the creation of a new document from a template
Look into "online forms" in help. Or consider using a userform that you ca
cancel. A userform is a custom dialog box that could ask all of you
