Hi

Can anyone give me some clue as to why, when Explorer is
open, some of the files in the list are shown in a blue
font and the rest are the ordinary black colour ?

Regards

The blue files are compressed to save disk space. While this does free up
some space, it also slows down access to these files.

You can uncompress them by right-clicking on the files, selecting
"Properties" and clicking the "Advanced" button, should you wish to.
