Files left behind by Service Packs

Does anyone know if the winnt\servicepackfiles directory
can be deleted? None of the file dates are recent, but
I'm not thrilled with deleting anything from winnt without
knowing its safe.
 
Windows 2000 will use this folder in the event you Add components to the
system. Best to leave this folder.
