Files do not sort by name - Help

Suddenly my files and directories are sorted by date only (permanently?). It
is
OK when I open explorer; everything is sorted by name. When saving pictures
from Internet (for example) all the directories and files are sorted by
date. The same happens when browsing for files to be attached to an email.
Do you know what controls this and mainly how to fix this annoying problem.
I want all the files and directories to be sorted by name.

Click on Explore
Click on the Details view
Click on 'Name' field heading and it will sort A to Z, click again and it
sorts Z to A. Clicking on date will sort hi to lo and clicking again will
sort Lo to Hi. Same applies to any heading.
 
If you want all folders to behave the same way, you should also go int
the control panel and click folder options. Make all you changes to th
way you want to view them (especially the "remember each folder's vie
settings") and then click the button Apply to all folders....
