what is an i386 folder and is there anywhere i can get a
list of what all the folders and files abbreviations are?

Hi Roger,

I386 folder is located on the Windows 2000 setup CD ROM as far as I know,
there is no such list.

The I386 folder is all of the drivers off of the windows
CD. If this folder is on your hard drive, i suggest
keeping it there, as it will come in handy.

It contains all the compressed files needed to set up Windows - it is a
copy of what you would find on a XP CD. I don't know of any list of he
files, and it would not be of much value. The final _ in an extension
indicates a compressed file, that has to be 'expanded' by the Expand
command to be used. Thus a .ex_ expands to a .exe
