File taking all my CPU usage...

I boot up XP without any problems, but I have recently begun to notice very, very slow system running. I went into processes and found one that it taking 90-95% CPU usage continually. I manually close this process each time I use the computer, and once I do it runs fast as normal. I have already run a virus scan and removed all ad and spyware through a program I have. I have identified the file that is using all the CPU usage. It is in the Windows system file folder, and here is the name: CNBXL32.EXE I have no idea what this command file does, but all I know is there is no problem when I shut it down and the computer only runs well once it is removed. I have found one other file that has almost the same name and it is a PF file somehow associated with Quicktime Player, as the file has a Quicktime Logo, and says it is opened with the qttask program, which is in the Quicktime folder. I am thinking it is time to delete the file, though I don't know if I should yet. Any help here would be greatly appreciated

I search spyware sites, virus sites a google search cannot
find anything on this.It is not a system file.

open your Prefetch folder and delete all files with the .pf extention, then
restart computer....this should smooth things out a bit....windows will
automatically write new boot .pf files needed and any apps used alot...
