An image that I need desperately was emailed to me, instead of having an
extension of .tif it has name.tif.sea, and I can not get any imaging program
to open it. Is it corrupted? Is there anything I can do other than have it
sent to me again? Thanks.

mirk,

Try using StuffIt to uncompress that file. I remember that .SEA is a
compressed file created by StuffIt.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Rename it to name.tif and drop the .sea?

It looks as if that file was compressed on a Macintosh computer.
You might want to tell the person who sent you the file to
uncompress it on their Mac and resend. Or use a PC when they send
you the image.

Yes, it is a Mac Stuffit compressed file.
