File sharing

Is there a way to turn on file sharing only on the
localhost address and not the LAN address.

I'm running the Veritas Remote Agent which uses file
sharing but only through 127.0.0.1. I don't want file
sharing through the LAN IP address.

Ideas anyone?

File sharing isn't associated with individual IP addresses. It's
associated with network connections.

To disable file sharing on a LAN connection, go to the connection's
Properties and un-check the "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft
Networks" box.

Another possibility is to enable XP's Internet Connection Firewall on
the LAN connection, which will block all types of incoming network
access. Details here:
