File sharing between XP and ME machine

Is their a checklist available as in spite of both having the same workgroup
this ain't happening.The XP machine can share files between with a second XP
machine. It is the third ME based machine that has the problem.
 
Works Here on 98, maybe there too...

Client for MS
Network Adapter
File & Print Sharing
TCP/IP

Primary Logon = Windows Login (not Client for MS)
