One computer in my office is sharing a quickbooks file. We just got a
computer that needs to share this file. What are the steps to take to get
the file? I keep getting errors that I am not allowed to access these files
when i try to run the path.

Roderick,

See if this article, about File Sharing In Windows XP, helps.

Also, check for misconfigured / overlooked firewalls, and for registry setting
restrictanonymous, on both computers.

If no help yet, check "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" on each computer.
Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely:

I keep getting the error "This location cannot be reached."

However, the share worked on this computer, once!
