File Protection

Hi,
I have a some files I would like to protect but I don't know how. Not
protect as in access, but protect as in undeletable without like a password
or something. I just want to know ho to this for the files themselves, not
for user accounts. If anyone could help, please do. Thanx.
 
I don't think about doing this for files themselves but you can disable
delete for those files by Security tab. You can deny access to delete
files/folders for your account and others. I have many folders like this
(for myself).
 
OK. Thank you for this information as it has given me some idea of what to
do. Now, all I need to know is, where is the Security tab? Please & thanx.

--------(Windows XP Pro):-------------
1. Control Panel > Folder Options
View tab
Uncheck "Use simple file sharing (Recommended)
2. Partition should be formatted as NTFS not Fat32

------------------------------------------------

--------(Windows XP Home)---------
1. Boot into Safe Mode
2. Partition should be NTFS
-----------------------------------------------

If the above things are true then just right click file/folder > Properties
There will be a Security tab.
