How do I get the security tab in the file properties
window on computers not running on domains? (I don´t want
to use the mmc way).

First, you must be running NTFS as your file system.

XP PRO: In Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options, View and uncheck
Use Simple File Sharing.

And in XP Home you use a safe mode boot.

( BTW : What mmc way ? )
