Hi,
I have two PCs and one router. Both PCs accesses internet well. But
they don't share files and printer with each other. I suspect one of
the PCs, previously set as a host for ICS (internet connection sharing),
causes the problem. I run "Network Setup Wizard" on that PC. I always
get a message below:
"Do you want to use the shared connection?"
"Do you want to use the existing shared connection
for this internet access (recommended)?"
Whether I answer yes or no, I got a final confirmation message below:
"Internet connection settings:
Connecting via ICS through unknown internet
connection sharing device".
I supposed the message should be one shown below (as on my the other PC):
"Connecting through another device or computer"
The ICS in the Properties | Advanced screen of the LAN connection
disappears on the both PCs. I previously post a message about how to
turn off ICS. Mr. Winograd answered it will appear under 3 conditions.
It seems that all the 3 conditions are true on my case (no bridge, no
firewalls on my PCs, no home network uses a serial or parallel connection).
Can Mr. Winograd or anybody help me out? Your help is much appreciated.
Regards.
