Is there a way to disable the use of a program for one
particular user?

One of the users on this computer has been mis-using
Messegnger, and as other users still use it, I don't want
to uninstall it.

Many thanks.

Greetings:

Enable the Security tab in file properties; In Control Panel\Folder
Options\view\select Use simple file sharing (last value in the list)... next
go to Programs File\Messenger folder\msmsgs.exe properties\security tab\add
the user account\deny permissions..

Hope this helps.

Just to clarify - you need to DIS-able simple file sharing (i.e.
uncheck the box) in order to see the security tab in properties.

AFAK this is only available to XP Pro.

Right!!... thaks for pointing out that mistake.......
