Is there a way in a 2000 server environment to allow a
user to view and only view a document such as word or
excel? They should not be able to save it elsewhere or
even print it. View and only View. Thanks

If your going to take the time to say its a multipost why not answer the
Question.
You can give the file Read only access but that will not stop them from
being able to copy the file to their station or print it. Under Sharepoint
you will have a few more controls like being able to see who copied a file.
Not sure if their are any third party programs that will do what you want.

I did answer it elsewhere. Taking the time to indicate it's a multipost
saves YOU time from answering a question that has already been answered
(possibly). Wouldn't it irritate you to know that the OP has already gotten
his answer and is on his way, and your reply never read?

Well, I value my time a little more than you then. Our personal feelings on
the topic do not matter anyway. There are globally accepted usenet rules,
and this is one of them.
