File Open Default

When I open a file in Excel, the "File Open" command takes me to "My Documents" How can I change from "my Documents" to another file in the C Drive?
 
Open Excel, choose tools from the menu then options, go to General tap and
then go down you will find "Default File Location" put the directory you
need, also you can use browse.

In Excel..........

Tools>Options>General> "Default File Location".

Type the path you want in here.

While there, to prevent problems in the future, delete any path in "Alternate
startup file location" or if Excel 2002 "at startup, open all files in".
