File not loaded completely Error

Hi
I have a text file that I am trying to open in Excel.
There are about 550 columns and about 100 rows in the
file. Whenever I try to import it I get the following
error: File not loaded completely
Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Do I have too
many columns?

Excel supports 256 columns.
