I am setting up Windows XP on a machine--actually, I am re-setting it up
after I messed up installing SP2, I installed another program afterwards and
tried to system restore prior to that, and instead did a system restore to
BEFORE the SP2, then couldn't reverse it. I ended up having to clean Windows
out and start all over.
Anyway, I have now re-installed XP and I have SP2 on it. I have noticed
that, when viewing a path (Say C:\Pictures\01CurrentCameras\SonyW1\) and
then clicking the C: to return to C:, it has a "lag" in doing it that makes
it take nearly 2 seconds to return to C:. Previously it did this
instaneously, even after installing SP2. Now all of a sudden, after redoing
everything, it is much slower.
Other program operations seem to go just as quickly as before, but not thist
action--and this is a particular action I do a lot, so it's quite annoying.
What possible ways can I remedy this?
