file manager replacement.

hi i wonder is there any file manager freeware which could replace that one
in the microsoft? i hope this freeware could provide tab-based interface
(just like the browser slimbrowser could do) so that i could swith from one
folder to another one freely by just clicking on the tab.

The best I have seen are Power Desk Explorer, and Turbo Navigator. Although
neither is as good at the native Windows Explorer, both are pretty good. The
Windows Explorer itself has the ability to click on icons or menu items to
re-visit favorite folders.
