Anyone know what kind of a file and what it is
attached to; Jet1018.tmp ? And why wouldn't
"Desk Cleanup" catch it ? TNX

Leave them be, Jet files are created by the Microsoft Jet Database
Engine [MS Access etc] so probably they would be in use [locked to DC].

Network printer file, comes to mind

I use a program called Peek for a quick look at files. it takes a
binary file and extracts all the text out of it; allowing you to look
for key words - and helps a lot to determine what a file is or does.

once installed you would right click on the file, and select Peek, and
one of three viewing options - it outputs to your default text viewer.

It's old, I've used it since NT, but it works flawlessly under XP.
